  3. Jump In The Hot Tub – Damaged sunburn skin needs to stay cool not hot. Take cool, not cold baths. Oatmeal baths are recommended as they add moisture to the damaged areas. Soak in the bath for about 30 minutes; you should start feeling some relief.
  4. Break Or Pop The Blisters – Although it is tempting to break them, leave them intact, breaking them will only slow down the healing process and increase the risk of infection. The blisters form a natural protective layer, which helps the burn to heal faster.
  5. Use Products That End In “Caine” – Many people are hyper allergic to these products. Instead use aloe based products; aloe is a plant based substance which makes a terrific home sunburn treatment. Do not use oil based products as they may clog the pores and delay healing by preventing the burn from breathing. Infection could even ensue.
